How to read the result

The break-even price is the price at which your revenue exactly covers your costs: variable cost per customer plus each customer's share of the monthly fixed costs. It is a calculation, not a price recommendation: your selling price should be anchored to customer value, not to your costs.

The volume scenarios expose the weak point of every break-even calculation: the assumed volume. Calculate conservatively. A break-even price based on an optimistic volume is a dangerously soft floor.

How the floor feeds into a complete pricing strategy is covered in the 9-step guide. The short definition lives in the glossary under break-even price.

Frequently asked questions

How is the break-even price calculated?

Break-even price = variable cost per customer + (fixed costs per month divided by customers per month). At this price you cover your total costs exactly; every euro above it is margin.

Why does the calculator show several volume scenarios?

Because the assumed sales volume is the most critical lever in the calculation: at half the volume, the break-even price rises sharply. The scenarios show you how robust your floor really is.

Is the break-even price my selling price?

No. It is your price floor, not your price recommendation. The right price is anchored to customer value and the market, inside your pricing corridor between floor and ceiling.

Are my inputs stored anywhere?

No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser; your numbers never leave your device.
